Matthew 15:10 and Matthew 15:17-20

08. 20
Love One Another

Matthew 15:10 (NIV) Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand. 11What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.' "

Jesus asked them. "Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.' For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man 'unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him 'unclean.' "

Father in Heaven, help us to have a clean heart that what comes out of our mouth will also be clean. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

Jesus Loves You

May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

Psalm 40

07. 30
Faith that moves mountains

I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1 (NIV)

Have you had times when you prayed to the Lord and feel that He is not even there to hear your prayers? Let Psalm 40:1 encourage you to wait patiently for the Lord. God hears our prayers all the time. He is a God that does not slumber. Sometimes we just have to be patient, which I know is hard for some of us. We live in a world that everything seems to be instant. But don't give up on praying to the Lord, keep pressing in. Father in Heaven, thank You that You hear our prayers. Encourage us, Heavenly Father. Help us not to give up hope. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Matthew 28:18-20

07. 26
Ask of the Nations and it will be given to you

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20(NIV)

It was refreshing to read about Jesus' resurrection today...even though it is July. I wanted to be reminded again of what Jesus commanded us to do before He ascended into Heaven and was seated at the right hand of the Father. To me, the very last sentence touches my heart because I am assured that Jesus will never leave me nor forsake me. He is always with me...till the end of times. That is powerful.

Let's all rest assured that no matter what, know that Jesus is always with us. He is our friend, our rock, our fortress. He is everything to us...till the end of times. Jesus, we thank You, for Your Word that You will always be with us till the end of times. What a promise You gave to us, and we believe. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Romans 12

Love One Another

Romans 12 has instructions on how we are to live the Christian life. Some of the instructions are: renewing our minds, using the gifts we received from Holy Spirit, loving one another, serving the Lord, blessing others and being kind to our enemies.

Father in Heaven, help us to do what You want us to do. Help us to obey what Romans 12 instructs us to do. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Psalm 9:7-10(NIV)

07. 22
Daddy God

The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. He will judge the world in righteousness; he will govern the peoples with justice. The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:7-10 (NIV)

What a promise from the Lord...that no matter what happens on this earth, God is in control. He has already established His throne, and He will judge the world in His righteousness. We can always go to the Lord in times of troubles. God is always there for us. He will never forsake us nor leave us. Thank you, Jesus.

Revelation 22:12-13 and Revelation 22:20-21 (NLT)

More Lord

Revelation 22:12-13 “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

Revelation 22:20-21 He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.

Romans 15:13

With God All Things Are Possible

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NASB)

This is a blessing from the Lord to us. If you feel hopeless because of circumstances happening in your life, note that the God of hope is here to bless you. He is here to fill you with joy and peace so that you will have hope again.

Father in Heaven, thank You for the hope You have instored for us. We receive the hope that You bless us with. In Jesus Name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 1:4-9

07. 19
More Lord

Two key verses I want to point out today are:

1. Verse 5 (NIV): For in him you have been enriched in every way — in all your speaking and in all your knowledge.

2. Verse 8 (NIV): He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Verse 5 sure gives me hope that I have already been enriched in every way...not just one way, but in every way, specifically in speaking and in knowledge. The Bible says that in Matthew 10:19, "But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say." So for those of you who are concerned about the lack of knowledge and ability to speak, note that you already have them in full.

Verse 8 is a promise from God that we are blameless on the day of Jesus Christ. This is not accomplished by works, but by the grace of God. No matter what we have done in the past, we have the assurance that as children of the most High God, we will be found blameless in Jesus because of what Jesus has done for us.

Father in Heaven, how awesome You are. Thank You for Your promise that we have aleady been enriched in every way. Thank You for Your promise that we are blameless in Jesus Christ. Thank You, Jesus, for what You have done for us. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Proverbs 10:27

07. 13
Your Word

Many people are interested in living a long life here on earth. How do we attain that? Proverbs 10:27 has the answer, and that is the fear of the Lord. Not only does the fear of the Lord prolongs life, but it is also the beginning of wisdom.

Father in Heaven, help us to have the fear of the Lord in us. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Haggai 1

07. 06
Your Word

The book of Haggai is one that some of us don't read very often. Yet, the words in this little book is very powerful. As I read Haggai 1 today, the key answer to the questions in Haggai 1:6 and 1:9a is in Haggai 1:9b, "Because My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house," said the Lord.

I was thinking perhaps this is the answer why some people have holes in their purses, it is because the Lord's house lies desolate. Of course, I pondered myself what this all mean. And I believe that as we pray to the Lord as to what this verse means to each one of us, He will show us.

Father in Heaven, You are such a loving God. Your Word is sharper than a two-edged sword. I pray this day that you show me and everyone who reads this post what Haggai 1:9b mean to us. Thank you, Father, for your revelation. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Mark 8:36

Jesus Loves You

Did you ever wonder about credit score? Whether you have a good credit score or not, note that credit score is man's way of validating a person's credibility. It is not God's way. God loves us no matter what.

So if you have a bad credit score, take heart, because God does not look at our credit score to determine our worth. Our worth comes from Jesus Christ.

Remember, we are all precious in God's eyes. God does not love us based on performance. God loves us for who we are. He longs to be with us. He desires deep intimacy with us. He is always ready to spend time with us.

Father in Heaven, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for loving us no matter what. Thank you that you are after our hearts, not our performance. Today, Father, I say that I love you so much. In Jesus Name, Amen.

07. 01
God's Love

My Bible reading today started with Isaiah 34 and 35, moving on to Jeremiah 35, Hosea 14, Amos 9, Joel 2:28 – 31 and Joel 3:18 -21.

In all the passages above, the key point is the coming of the Lord…what God is going to do to nations that disobey Him and to Israel. Even though there will be famine, rumors of wars and other disaster occurring during and before the end of times, we don’t need to solely focus on them. Instead, we need to pray, spend time with the Lord, be intimate with God and do the work He has called us to do.

I am not sure why I was led to read all the passages above today. It may be that the Lord is making me more aware of the times. But from the reading today, I see a silver lining to all of these….that God will make ready a people for Himself. He will put an end to unrighteousness and injustice…all because He loves us so much.

Father in Heaven, thank You for Your truth. Thank You for revealing to us what is yet to come. Help us not to take things lightly, but to know that time is short and Jesus, You are coming soon. Thank You that You desire for no one to perish, but all to come to repentance. As there is still time, please forgive us for all our sins. Help us to live lives that are pleasing to You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

1 Timothy 2:1-4

Direct Communication with God

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NASB)

Father in Heaven, open the eyes of our leaders that they will all support Israel. Have mercy on us, dear Father. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Luke 19:11-27 and Luke 12:42-48

Go Preach the Gospel

The Scripture verses above clearly state that this is the time and hour we must do the work of the Lord. Whatever God has given you, put them to good use. Ask the Lord to use you, and He will.

The part of the verses that strikes me the most is the more we use the gifting God gives to us, the more He will multiply it. This principle applies the same way if we exercise our muscles regularly, our muscles will get toned.

If you know you have the gift to evangelize and have not used it for the Lord, reach out to the people you are comfortable with. Take little steps and I know God will bless you in the little things you do for His Kingdom.

Father, I pray we will take the gifting You give to us and use them for Your praise and glory. Help us to be bold for You, Father. Thank you for Your Word that as we do Your work, we will be blessed and filled with Your Spirit.

John 13:34-35

06. 12
Love One Another

John 13:34-35 (NASB) "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Psalm 1:1-3

06. 10
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.Meditate on the Word of God. Meditate on the Word of God.Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Psalm 1:1-3 NIV. Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Proverbs 24:10

06. 08

If you fall to pieces in a crisis, there wasn't much to you in the first place. Proverbs 24:10 (The Message)

If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Proverbs 24:10 (Amplified Bible)

How do we have strength in times of adversity? I believe it is through a daily walk with Jesus. If we fill ourselves with the Word of God daily, we are building strength. So during times of adversity, we can draw from the strength the Lord gives us. The Word of God is like food to our body. As food replenishes our physical body, so the Word of God replenishes us spiritually. If we don’t eat for a few days, we feel weak. On the same token, if we don’t feed ourselves with the Word of God, we can be more vulnerable during times of adversity.

Another way to build strength is to pray. Prayer is talking with God. Be free to talk with God about anything and everything. Don’t be afraid to come before the Lord and let Him know even the deepest secrets of your heart. Tell Him about your dreams, wants, wishes, goals, and anything you want. He is such a loving Father. He hears all your prayers. In times of adversity, ask Him for strength. Ask him for help. Remember that our loving Father is always there for us. He will never leave us nor forsake us.
